I’m an engineering leader based in San Francisco. At Ripple, I lead teams working on customer onboarding, financial crime prevention, and identity. My work spans the platform systems behind those products and the teams building them.

I’ve spent years writing open source software, working in Python and Clojure before getting into Rust. My projects tend to live underneath applications: authentication, session management, and the machinery that keeps work running reliably.

That includes tower-sessions and axum-login for Rust web applications, and Underway, which runs durable workflows using Postgres. Lately, I’ve also been experimenting with virtual machines and moving my development environment into them. Tart has been particularly impressive.
